Listen: The Avett Brothers Release New Track, ‘Roses And Sacrifice’
The Avett Brothers are back! The North Carolina band and Outlaw Music Festival alums have just hinted at their first album release since 2017’s True Sadness. The group’s new single, “Roses and Sacrifice,” is a banjo and vocal harmony-led romp, complete with simple shuffling drums and plaintive fiddle.
The Avetts recently teamed up with Texas institution, Asleep At The Wheel, for a fantastic tribute to Willie Nelson called “Willie Got There First” which you can listen to over at Rolling Stone Country.
Speaking of tributes, The Avett Brothers will join Willie Nelson, George Strait, Alison Krauss, Jack Johnson, and many more for Willie: Life & Songs Of An American Outlaw at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on January 12, 2019. This spectacular event will be filmed and recorded for a major broadcast special slated to air on A&E Network next year.
