On Friday, January 10, 2014, music stars and friends joined together for “All My Friends: Celebrating the Songs & Voice of Gregg Allman”, a special concert in honor of the legendary singer, songwriter and musician. The star-studded concert took place at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia and featured once-in-a-lifetime collaborations by friends and admirers coming together to pay tribute to Allman’s music. The lineup included GRAMMY, CMA, ACM, Americana, W. C. Handy Blues and Dove Award nominated and winning musicians. An all-star band led by GRAMMY Award-winner Don Was served as the musical director.

Gregg Allman is one of the most acclaimed and beloved icons in rock and roll history. A founding member of the Allman Brothers Band and successful solo artist in his own right, Allman possesses a voice that has resonated through four decades; a voice that once heard is never forgotten. A legendary songwriter who expresses visceral human feelings in words and music—joy and despair, dreams and nightmares, loneliness and love–Gregg Allman writes from the heart and touches the soul. At the 54thAnnual Grammy Awards in 2012, the ABB was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, in part a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the group’s seminal double album Eat a Peach. Gregg himself, inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, was also nominated for Best Blues Album of 2011 for his first solo record in 13 years, the captivating Low Country Blues.
