That Time Willie Nelson And Frank Sinatra Made A PSA About Space
Old Blue Eyes and the Red Headed Stranger might inhabit opposing musical poles, but back in the 1980s Frank Sinatra and Willie Nelson sat down in front of the camera together to film a PSA about their mutual deep love of the final frontier — space.
As i09 reports, NASA wanted to show the public just how important space travel was, including the emerging technologies that have been created due to our desire to visit the airless vacuum outside our atmosphere.
“We do share the same feeling about space technology, don’t we,” a very formal Sinatra says to an agreeable Nelson.
