Are you a singer/songwriter in the Raleigh, NC area looking to be discovered? Look no further than The American Roots Music & Arts Festival, which is delighted to support local artists by drawing attention to developing acts and helping foster their creative spirit with a powerful springboard: giving them the opportunity to, “Play The Fest” and perform at The American Roots Music & Arts Festival – in front of an audience of thousands!
As part of its mission to provide not only a world class Festival experience, but also to nourish burgeoning talent as they work to find an audience,The American Roots Music & Arts Festival is excited to announce the, “Play The Fest” Contest, where four local singer/songwriters will have the unique opportunity to perform two original songs each atThe American Roots Music & Arts Festival Sat & Sun Oct. 17 & 18 at the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh, NC. Upload the best video of your performance, and then activate your fans to propel you to the stage at The American Roots Music & Arts Festival! The final selections will be made based on the number of votes a candidate receives and our judges review. In music we live & die for our fans – have them return the favor!

In addition to fostering local artistic talent, The American Roots Music & Arts Festival will also feature The Taste of Raleigh Food & Brews Celebration, which throughout the Festival weekend will honor the city of Raleigh, and surrounding communities, by bringing music fans together with local food, beer, & crafts vendors.
