Blackbird Presents, Sony Music Latin & Jenni Rivera Enterprises Announce Partnership To Produce Jenni Rivera 50 An All-Star Broadcast Special Honoring The Late Singer’s 50Th Birthday!
Blackbird Presents, a leader in the production of large-scale concerts events, broadcast specials, TV series, music festivals, and tours has announced a partnership with Sony Music Latin and Jenni Rivera Enterprises to produce Jenni Rivera 50, an all-star television special and record release. This historic one night only event honoring the late singer’s 50th birthday will take place in Los Angeles, CA. The concert event and television taping will bring together an incredible lineup of Regional Mexican, Latin American, and Contemporary Pop superstars to celebrate the life and music of this beloved singer, songwriter, and humanitarian.
Jenni Rivera, the famed Mexican American singer-songwriter, reality TV star, and philanthropist mastered the male-dominated genres of Banda and Norteño to become the most prominent and influential female recording artist in Regional Mexican music. Rivera garnered fifteen gold and platinum, and five double platinum records. Her string of hits led to massive sell-out stadium tours worldwide. Rivera became the first female Regional Mexican singer to sell out the Nokia Theatre and Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. She went on to produce multiple TV series such as Chiquis & Raq-C, and I Love Jenni. In 2012 Rivera was named one of the top 25 most powerful women by People en Español.
Overcoming personal hardships, Jenni Rivera used her platform to give back to her community before her untimely passing in 2012. Rivera established charities like the Jenni Rivera Love Foundation, which supports single mothers and children who have been victims of domestic abuse. In recognition of her significant charitable work and community involvement, the Los Angeles City Council issued a proclamation officially naming August 6th “Jenni Rivera Day”.

Jenni Rivera 50 will be filmed and recorded for a major TV broadcast and music release. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Jenni Rivera Love Foundation.
