Volunteer Jam XX To Be Filmed For Primetime Broadcast Special On AXS TV

Nashville, Tenn. March 2, 2018 – Blackbird Presents is pleased to announce that Volunteer Jam XX will be filmed for a primetime broadcast special on AXS TV, the premier destination for classic rock programming, airing in summer. “Volunteer Jam XX: A Tribute To Charlie” will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.

This once-in-a-lifetime concert event will feature performances by Charlie Daniels and The Charlie Daniels Band, ALABAMA, Alison Krauss, Billy F Gibbons of ZZ Top, Blackberry Smoke, Bobby Bare, Chris Janson, Chris Young, Chuck Leavell, Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Justin Moore, Lee Brice, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ricky Skaggs, Sara Evans, The Oak Ridge Boys, Travis Tritt, and is hosted by Storme Warren.

This year’s jam will feature a special tribute to Charlie Daniels highlighted by:

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd’s sole Nashville performance before embarking on their highly anticipated farewell tour.
  • Rock legend Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top will make his Volunteer Jam debut.
  • Rising country music superstar Chris Young will make his Volunteer Jam debut.
  • Country music legend Eddie Montgomery will make a heroic return to the stage after the tragic passing of his partner, Troy Gentry.
  • The night will conclude with some epic all-star jams.

Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, all Ticketmaster locations and the Bridgestone Arena box office. A portion of the proceeds from 2018’s Volunteer Jam will be donated to The Journey Home Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit co-founded by Daniels and manager David Corlew to help Veterans.
