Watch Neil Young + Promise Of The Real Perform New Song ‘Eternity’

Last weekend, Neil Young + Promise of the Real blew the damn doors off of Saratoga Springs, New York as part of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour. Click here to read all about it. However, not every tune played by the group on their current tour was as ferocious as “Powder Finger.” As Rolling Stone observes, Young and Co. performed a new song at Port Chester, New York’s Capitol Theater.

“Eternity” is a delightful love song, complete with electric piano and Promise of the Real imitating a rolling train (you’ll see).

The tune begins with a bucolic image, as illustrated by the lyrics: “Woke up this morning in a house of love / the birds were singing in the sky above / the dogs were barking and the deer were free / we were living in a house of love.”
