When Eric Church returns to the North Carolina stage at the American Roots Music & Arts Festival for two headlining nights on October 17th & 18th, it won’t just be a native son coming home, nor just a multi-platinum crossover superstar headlining an all-star line-up including the best in today’s music, but also as a Hall of Famer, a distinction rightly earned by this outstanding performer.

Church, who has spent the past year on his epic “Outsiders World Tour” – with nearly a million tickets sold – was recently honored with a stunning five nominations for the 49th annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, including his first ever nod in the prestigious “Entertainer of the Year” category.  Born in Granite Falls, NC, Church will be inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame on October 15th. He joins this music pantheon beside other Carolina greats like Charlie Daniels and Ronnie Milsap, and will be inducted this year alongside fellow American Roots Festival headliner Warren Haynes.  The American Roots Music & Arts Festival is excited to offer a rare opportunity to catch these two greats up close and personal after their historic Hall of Fame induction!

To tell Eric’s incredible story, the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville is excited to present, “Eric Church: Inside the Outsider” (Sept 18th, 2015 – Feb 21, 2016), an exhibit which will explore the life and career of Eric Church featuring stage wear, guitars, song manuscripts, photos and more from his personal collection.

“Eric Church is an independent-minded artist with an uncompromising attitude that is rare in contemporary country music,” said Country Music Hall of Fame CEO Kyle Young. “His insistence on doing things his way recalls Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Jr. We are thrilled to share his story in our latest exhibition.”

Eric Church will headline The American Roots Music & Arts Festival alongside a stellar lineup that includes Modest Mouse, Sheryl Crow, The Roots, Willie Nelson, Warren Haynes, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grace Potter, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Chris Stapleton, Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon, Greensky Bluegrass, and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Additional performers and special concert events will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Church believes that, “music is universal; it speaks to people’s souls on the deepest level. It’s all just music.”
