Music Icon Lionel Richie Added To All-Star Concert Celebration Honoring Kenny Rogers

We are so excited to share the big news: Lionel Richie is joining the lineup of All In For The Gambler: Kenny Rogers’ Farewell Concert Celebration! Richie’s known for his timeless ballads like “Endless Love” and “Hello,” and has been a friend of The Gambler for over three decades. The singers collaborated for the first time on the legendary song “Lady,” back in 1980.

“I asked him to write me a song and he said he didn’t really do that,” Rogers told SPIN in 2012. “So I told him it would sell 5 million copes and well, that changed his mind.”

Even though Richie had never pitched a song before, the duo found an easy way to work together — and the rest is history. Since then, the two legends have cemented an endearing friendship that’s filled with quite a bit of laughter (check out the two videos below).

Lionel will join fellow music stars Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Alison Krauss, The Flaming Lips, Idina Menzel, Jamey Johnson, Wynonna, The Judds, and Elle King at the concert event.

“A lifetime of friendship and I could not be more honored to be a part of Kenny’s Farewell Concert Celebration,” says Richie. “It’s going to be a special night.”

A limited number of platinum tickets are available via Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, all Ticketmaster locations and the Bridgestone Arena box office. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation and the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center.
