Lynyrd Skynyrd One More For The Fans About

About the show

On Wednesday, November 12th, 2014, an extraordinary collection of music artists came together for “One More For The Fans! – Celebrating The Songs & Music of Lynyrd Skynyrd“, a special concert event taping honoring one of the most influential bands of our time. The concert took place at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia and featured star-studded collaborations by esteemed artists paying tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s music. An all-star house band will be led by GRAMMY Award-winner Don Was who will serve as the music director.

As part of the campaign to save the Fox Theatre from demolition, Lynyrd Skynyrd recorded their 1976 live album, One More From The Road, at the landmark theatre. The title “One More For The Fans! – Celebrating The Songs & Music of Lynyrd Skynyrd,” was inspired by that legendary album’s title.

The legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd began more than 41 years ago in Jacksonville, Florida. The American rock band is known for their “southern hard-rock” sound during the 1970’s. The band has been included on Rolling Stone magazine’s and VH1’s lists of “100 Greatest Artists of All Time.”

With a catalog of over 60 albums and sales beyond 30 million worldwide, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd remains a cultural icon that appeals to all generations. For more information on Lynyrd Skynyrd, please visit:
